Ok, here's the deal.
I'm hanging a 250w pendant above my 36g corner. On one hand, I could purcahase this:
PFO MH/PC pendant (250w SE Mogul w/ 2 x 32w PC actinic) 16.5" x 12"
or
On the other hand:
LumenMax 3 (250w DE MH only) 11.5" x 11"
I really have liked the Radium bulb pictures I have seen on the internet. I could go with a Radium SE in the PFO and have some actinics to go with it. I don't have room for VHO, thus the PC combo.
Or I could go with the LumenMax and get a 20k DE bulb or the Phoenix 14k DE. In this scenario, I would run no actinics.
PFO combo will run me well over $500 w/ bulbs.
Lumen Max combo will run me around $400 w/ bulbs.
Are actinics worth the extra $100+. My gut says no. Especially when I'm running a 20k bulb to begin with. But who knows?
