I'm looking to get some decent gloves for working in my tank. I've only found the smae $15 ones at Marine depot and Foster/Smith and the cheapo disposable ones. I was hoping I'd have some more options to select from.

Can u recommend some gloves? Or suggest things to look for?

Thanks!

I've got these for sale, like new in the box, $15. shipped.

Description

Coralife Aqua Gloves are full-arm length with elastic bands to hold them snugly on the upper arm. The gloves measure 28" in total length and are made of the finest PVC material with fiber-reinforced sleeves. The Aqua Gloves are designed to allow the hobbyist to work efficiently inside the aquarium without contaminating the water. The gloves keep arms and hands completely dry, thus avoiding any possibility of skin contact with the water and its inhabitants, which prevents stings and allergic reactions.

I have those ones above but the problem is it's like working on your tank with ski gloves on no dexterity, I am looking for arm length desposibles. is latex bad?? what's the best material to be looking for?

Go to Wal-greens, they have a bunch of different gloves there. The purple ones that they sell are nice (not overly thin like some of the other ones). Or if you want on-line shopping try Galls (http://www.galls.com/category2.html?assort=general_catalog&cat=3109) ; they sell EMS supplies and they have a bunch of different gloves to choose from. One thing I wouldn't get are the thick shoulder length gloves (I think I got them from Marine Depot). They are so thick that you lose some dexterity.

Go to lowes. You can find some nice gloves for $2 that I use for reefing and diving.

And I also didn't like the Coralife gloves. They're useless for anything other than moving large pieces of LR.

I got that second pair, just dave, but now I feel this strange urge to moon walk and grab my crotch. . .

Do a search for "aquarium gloves" on ebay. I use the orange disposable ones - sometimes they leak, so I double them up. Not perfect, but cheap!

I'm a fan of these disposables (http://stonyreef.com/blog/2008/stonyreefs-pick-product-the-filter-guys-reef-sleeve/) you can get from filter guys. they're avg. ~25 cents each, nice to have on hand.
