Mine usually grab up a piece of mysis or cyclopeeze that floats by but that is about it ...I dont direct feed ours :)

I mix mini mysis and cycloeez in phyto and dylute in tank water, float in tank to bring to temp then target feed colonies. They really come to life. It's a blast.

It really depends on what type of polyp you have.

Zoanthus
Zonanths gigantus
Palythoa
Palythoa grandis
Protopalys

All types use sunlight as primary food source, but some zoanthus gigantus, palyhtoas, grandis's and protopalys will gladly take in food ( IE' pellets, mysis, cyclopeeze etc... )

Dead on post by Delsol.

Now here is the feeding guide for dummies. If it is a PE (green mouth slit) or much bigger than a pencil eraser than it will most likely capture food.

In most cases the amount of time you put into feeding an individual polyp just isn't worth it. If you can feed your corals something with a turkey baster like cyclopeeze then it is a bit more reasonable.

Just my 1.99999 cents.

They'll slowly close up like a soft venus fly trap.
