Picked up a blue mille and a monti. Had them on the sand for ~1 week. Can I move these 2 to ~half way in the tank? The halides are only around 3-4" above water surface.... so halfway in tank is still pretty close to the halides.

Really.... the only spot I have for any more corals is in two spots in my tank.. which is fortunate since I have 2 corals to place :) The mille would go in a spot near half way in the tank direct under 1 of the 250w halides. The monti would go a little lower (maybe 1/4 of the tank height) on a rock that is open. Should be fine, right? Or is that moving the mille up too fast?

If the millie is happy, polyps out, I'd give it a shot, I think you'll be fine because they love light and flow. Pretty hardy. In my early days I put it right up top before I knew better and it did fine. I still have it (right up top) 3 years later. Right under a MH.

Cap will be fine too. IMO.

I usually leave new SPS frags on the sand for about a week before moving them. I say go for it.
