test kits and measuring line

the instructions require me to put 5ml in the test vial using the syringe. no problem there, that's pretty obvious.

however... which line should i use?

if i fill the syringe with 5ml, and put it in the test vial, it is WAY above the "5 mark" on the vial.

if i fill the test vial up to the first "5 mark" i still have water left in the syringe.

so... which one should i use?

use the syringe, we have had a few vials have lines that appear to be inaccurate. We will likely remove the lines on the glass vials all together. Sorry for the confusion.
