Just bought a clam. Pretty awesome. I have it placed in the middle of the tank. The tank is approximately 17"-18" high. (75g tank) The clam is at about 8" on a rock in the tank now. I was curious if I could put it in the sandbed with my amount of lighting. I have a T-5 Nova extreme 216 watt lighting. 2 tubes actinic (460 nm) 2 daylight tubes, (10,000 K). 4 tubes total.

Also, theres a hole in the right side of the clam and a small hole on the left. I assume the gap on the right is where it takes in the water and on the left it spits out waste?

*The clam is about 5-6"

Thanks

Here's the clam:

Where the Clam is (top left): (I would put the clam on the sand in the bottom right)

Isn't that torch kind of close?

Looks closer in the picture then it really is. They are close, but not enough for the torch to touch the clam, and besides, the current is pushing the torch backward, and away from the clam.

Thanks

that clam is a crocea and they need as much light as possible and they are also rock dwellers, so putting it on the sand, farther away from the light, it would not make it.
