if i am not mistaken, there should be a yellow(or other color) thimble shaped plastic cap on top of the pump, remove it and add oil (i am about 98.625 % sure)

SAE 20w non-detergent oil.

Go here (http://www.lgpc.com/Aquarium/ByCategory.aspx?TypeID=5&CategoryID=22) pull up the model and open the PDF of the owners manual.

I have the LIttle Giant 4 Series. 4-MDQX-SC. I use it as my main pump on my 65 gal. FOWLR.

The pump has two small plugs at the top one near the rear where the motor is and another near the front by the impeller housing.

I use 3-in-1 oil, that you can get at any hardware store. You need to remove the plugs and place a few drops in each hole about every six months or so.

I couldn't find any info in the manuals. But my LFS has a little giant and they say thats what the use with no porblems. I've had no problems with my pump since I've had it and using that oil and its been running about 18 months no stop....

good luck.
