I am going to be upgrading soon from my 120 to a 225.
I am currently using three maxijets with eco mods and do not want to use them in the larger tank. The new tank is 6' x 24" x30" tall acrylic. Looking for advice on what would be better as far as water movement, price, and reliability

Thanks

Both. The Streams create a different motion from the Waveboxes...

I used to use two streams on our tank. There were dead spots and it was not that great. Took the streams out and went to a Tunze Wavebox. It gently rocks the tank and the polyp extension on all invertebrates is twice what is was when we operated the high flow stream pumps.

This is a subjective topic. There will be lots that say both, some that say wave box only, and plenty that post will say you just need streams.

I have operated both ways and like the wave box only setup the best. My seven year old reef tank has never looked better and I attribute that to the gentle rocking of the wave box.
