Glue and clams

So I am the proud new owner of a Maxima clam and so far the 3 others I have like where they are in the tank. But the last one keeps jumping off the spot I have chosen, Now my question is, Is it jumping because it dosen't like the spot I chose? It is 6" lower than all the others. And the byssal is attached to large rubble so I could glue it but is that a smart move if it dosen't like the spot. And really clams don't have brains so how do I interpret this response from the clam?

I dont think that would be a good move. If it jumps then that would be a position it likes. ;)

I would just find a spot that it doesn't jump away from and keep it there. That's your best bet at keeping it happy.
