i tested my alk and i got 300 ppm how hi is this to high please help

The alk is a littlle to high. Have you been dosing with buffer without measuring? What test kit are you using? Water changes or let it come down on its own. Alk should be 7-11dkh or 175ppm.

all i have is a cal reactor and once a month i topp off with kalk about 10g worth i go threw 6g a week so should i just stop the kalk for a while

Dial back the reactor and maybe the kalk until the alk comes back in line. The combo is what has driven your alk so high.

It shouldn't affect growth rate. You want to bring things back to normal.
