It seems that not all Nitrate test kits measure the same thing. However, they do all suffer from the subjectiveness of color matching.:confused: I need a digital meter.
NOTE: The Tetratest NO3- kit measures Total Nitrate ion (NO3-) concentration. To obtain the value for Nitrate-Nitrogen concentration in mg/l the value obtained with the kit should be divided by 4.4.
So, to compare apples to apples, my current reading of ~100 with the Tetra kit would equal ~22 with the Salifert test kit. Not great, but getting there.
