So i picked up a Peppermint Hogfish and a 1" scribbled angelfish yesterday. Bad news when i came home from work today, angelfish was stuck to my tunze 6101 but still alive. I put it in qt right away but later died. Debating on getting another and growing it out until its around 3" then putting it in my tank.
What are your experiences with a Peppermint Hogfish? Pics?

Just out of curiosity, why would you ask for information AFTER you purchased a fish?

watch out for the peppermint hogs. they are jumpers. Had one for about a month before it went carpet surfing.

I had one for about a day, and it found the overflow and end up in the filter sock which I did not get to in time to save it.

The one previous to that was dead in my frag tank after 3 days. It was eating mysis and pellets and did not show any signs of infection. However, when I found the body, it had a half inch spot on the flank which was discolored. Looked like a skin infection. Hard to believe that it was not there the night before and kill the fish in such a short time.
