Can anybody tell me what this white blob is? I just purchased this at my local pet store. Is this bad or not.

[welcome]

Hard to tell from the pics. Could be a nudibranch if it's moving. If not it kinda looks like a little mass of hydroids but I'm just guessing here.

It is in a hole in the surface. It don't move, has been in the same place since I bought it. It does toss around with the water currents. I think it would have moved by now. How do I remove it. I don't think it part of the coral?

You should be able to just scrape it off.

Any chance a chunk of salt creep fell on it or something?

Pulled them off with tweasers and found they were tied together with a string like hair. About four of them were strung together at a time. They were also hard. I tossed them out. Don't know what it was.
