New blue carpet recieved today. Took extra day in transport. Not looking so good.

Sorry to hear that.

I would take it up with the dealer/shipping company.

Looks like it is dead, or if not soon will be.

How long has it been in the tank? Does it smell?

Smelled really bad when I got it. Been in tank 1.5 days now. Looks even worse than in pics. It has now crawled under a rock and looks terrible.

This is my RTBA. Had it for 2 weeks now. It seems really happy and is eating very well. Don't think it's my tank as all water parameters are great and all other corals happy.http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn116/9501gle/DSC01716.jpg

Ai yi yi. :( Sorry to hear it. The picture looks horrible sorry to say. I think you might have gigantea there but it's hard to tell for sure.

The extra day in transport is probably the real kicker here.

I did find that the ones I picked up recently, looked terrible for a couple days after being put in. They did perk up eventually. I think having a blast of water every few seconds (ie., powerhead on wavemaker, or similar) is vital to their recovery - steady state flow just doesn't seem to be their thing. Might be worth a shot, but I'm not too sure there's a happy ending to this story. :( Good luck.

I can't really tell by the pic, but it is turning itself inside out or falling apart?!

doesn't look to good. Also, are these 2 anemones in the same tank. If so I would move 1 because they will end up fighting before it is over...

I agree get it out and see if you can get a return. Also always order from a place with a garuntee.

Well its falling apart this morning so I must remove it from tank. Has that horrible dead snail smell. So dissapointing as I have been searching for a blue gigantea for some months now. I'm not giving up though. Supplier says he has a purple one so I'll see if he will send it for replacement. This anemone was shipped by our great USPS. No suprise it was a day late!

I'm sorry to hear it's falling apart...from those with experience...once THAT starts to happen, it's pretty much beyond hope, right?

Oh .. well beyond the point of no return. It depends though - if it's from say an injury they can still heal. But not in this case, this is a systemic shutdown. Likely ran out of O2 in the bag, they really don't like being shipped at the best of times. I would avoid USPS for shipment, maybe try UPS or something that guarantee a next-morning delivery if you try again.
