i have always wanted to have a few different clown species living in one tank. i have seen it done before with others that "say" that the clowns dont fight. example, Pacific Reef in torrance has this HUGE Clarkii in their main display tank in the front living and eating side by side with a pair of true percs... this is what opened the door for me and wanting to try it some day after properly educating myself on potential circumstances.

if this is possible and there are those out there that have tried this what might be the best stocking order?

the clowns i would like to try are true and false percs... skunk clowns and clarkii's... maybe a few others but not sure... no tomatoes and no maroons tho.

any info helps.
thanks in advance

If you introduce them at the same time & give them enough room to each have thier own territory (which shouldn't be a problem in a 240), it should work. However some clowns can be bastards & don't like any other clowns in thier tank, no matter the size.

I have maroon, clarki and australian black clowns all in one 210 tank. The clarks even share the rbta, during the day at least ;)

As long as you throw them in at the same time, they are cool.

hmm... that dont seem too logical... if you throw some percs and a clarkii in at the same time they will all feel a little uneasy, im sure the clarkii being the tougher of the 2 will adapt faster then the percs and claim territory faster wanting the percs out. might be a better idea to add the "more aggressive" of the fish to the tank LAST?
