View Full Version : Please help me determine what these things are?

These are on my glass the one I called "worm" I thought was a "Copeopod" (correct?)it crawls on the glass like a worm, it is very small 16th of an inch at the most. As for the other pic I have no idea what the one I called star is..it is even smaller...these pics are very zoomed.

i have no idea about the star? but the other one might be a small snail....

First one, probably a flat worm. That type usually dies off. Second one probably just that, a tiny sea star. I have them on my glass too, the entire thing is like the size of a grain of sand.

The second pic looks like a hydroid rather than a star.

Hydroid jelly. The first one is probably the same thing caught at an angle. They sting, and are not a pleasant invasion, but I understand they don't survive long in our tanks.

Yeah, now that you say it it does look like a hydroid. I will go with them on that one. Pic is blurry but it probably is a hydroid.
