Tec shielding question

I have a 6 buld Tec T-5 that I have cut an acrilic shield covering the whole span. I'm wonering if this is a bad thing since it has only convection ventilation. Are there any others out there with Tec and do you shield the whole body or only the endcaps? The reason I am doing this is I don't like the idea of getting condensation on the reflectors or bulbs, but the heat I'm concerned about.

I know quite a few people that run with full shields. None have had problems that I am aware of.

You have the Tek fixture? A full shield is fine. They actually make one for it. I used it on my 40 Breeder for over 2 years.
