So why are mushroom prices so high these days?
My local fish shops are selling 2-3 mushrooms on a rock for like $50.
Wheres the best place to get shrooms? they don't seem to trade as often on here as Zoos and Acros?
I feel the pain, I have 3 great LFS's within 15 miles of where I live and they are all overpriced except for one. I just picked up a nice neon green/blue ricordea for $10 but thats the best deal I've seen.

I stopped by the LFS last week & the guy offered me a rock covered in shrooms for $45. I declined & spent $65 getting the 2 fish I really wanted.
Went back today to see if they had any singles. Ended up getting 2 detached shrooms for $10. I figure I'll start with the 2 & propagate them myself.

yeah, i've reached out to my local club (cora) theres a bunch of folks offering me loose shrooms for next to nothing,
I'll do the say, glue them to rocks and grow my own colony

I'd prefer to do that anyway.
My goal is to propagate them & swap them with other people once I start finding other reefers around here. A buddy of mine has a reef tank going, but I don't have enough lighting to take care of any of his corals.

50 isnt that bad if they are some cool looking Florida ricordea but if they are just normal corallmorphs then wow that is alot. Yuma's are also pricy least from what I have seen.

I have liked what I have gotten from Sea Life Inc. And the prices seem fair.

I have to say here in CT I think that mushrooms are one of the cheapest things. I can get a decent fist sized rock with 10+ quarter and up sized mushrooms for $40-$50...maybe not always the best colors but I am always looking.

I cannot believe the prices on that website, yes, some of the ricordea was decently priced but everything else seemed waaaaaaaaay overpriced.
And then you pay $50 shipping
Even a maxi-jet 400 was $20 when you can buy it for $10 from marine depot.
I agree they have some very nice stuff but mostly overpriced. I would never buy from them.
