Is this a RO flush kit?

Above is a picture of my RO/DI unit. On the waste water line there is a valve looks very close the to the one from here (http://www.purelyh2o.com/catalog/Reverse-Osmosis-Membrane-Flush-kit-p-16202.html). I marked the valve in the picture so you can set where it is..

Does my unit have a flush kit on it? If so how do I use it?
This unit was given to us when we got our tank.

ok,the valve has been in line with the line since we have had it. If I read right online,the unit has been flushing for A MONTH!!

yeah it should most likely be closed , you will notice less flow through your waste line when the flush is off
