Does anyone have any experience with the odyssea power compact lights, or the uv sterilizers?

mmm, some can be good some can be bad, really bad. The best I've seen are the skimmers and the MH/PC combo light but for both you have to get some parts upgraded to good brands or get modded to achieve the best performance.
I had a 48" pc fixture for a planted tank, and it worked fine for 2 years (I sold it in working condition) and I had a beautiful tank.
For the UV I also had one on my planted tank but I modded it, and the bulbs burnt super fast so I got a good one (for the same price as the whole thing :| )
Even though I had good luck with pc fixture, I've thing pictures online with the whole thing melted sometimes even burnt and cracked tanks because the thing caught on fire.

Think overall very cheap stuff. Cheap cost, cheaply made, etc

I have no problems with my 192w pc so far so good. Besides most light fixture parts are all made in china even the branded ones
