Pretty much my hermit crabs have been really annoying me lately, I dont know any fish, only coral right now. And they are always giving my coral problems, like knocking them over, I spot feed my coral, and I have a maze brain that eats somewhat slow, so my hermits will all migrate over to that coral and get on top of it and try to eat the food. This is also the same coral they are knocking over. Im worried because I am going on vacation for almost 3 weeks, and I dont want the crabs to be knocking over coral while I'm gone. What should I do?

Build a cage out of eggcrate to put around the coral so the crabs can't get to it.

+1 for this.

Works very well.

Thats a good idea. I never thought of that. But couldnt the crabs still get through the crate?

I see them finding a way in. I hate hermits they kill all my snails. Hermits don't really clean anything, so I have 10 sitting in a spare tank.

I hate hermits too. Putting eggcrate in your tank looks ugly. I'd remove the hermits. I've had really good luck with the blue leg crabs not bothering my corals. I do currently have some shrimp that are really annoying me as they steal food from my RTBA.

I have blue legs and they are the ones that are bothering the coral. Haha what should I do with them? Do I just give them to the lfs?

Provided the coral doesnt have a large circumference i use the top of a two liter coca cola bottle. i set it over the coral then feed through the cap opening.
