View Full Version : coralife pure-flo float valve, shutoff valve installation vs stock shutoff?

my RO/DI has what looks to be the same thing, it goes between the 3stage particle filters to the RO membrane, and then from the RO membrane to the DI chamber.

ok... simple enough, the unit works, whatever.

now the float valve wants me to connect a valve between the filters/membrane(same as the first loop on the stock one) and then the other goes on the clean water output...

so apparently though they are the same, they are not doing the same thing, as one is between the membrane and DI, and the other is after the DI.

so now, assuming I use both, what order should they be in on the filter/RO run?

heres a pic, the unit it self is how it is, the green boxes are the auto shut off valves. should the new valve lines with the ? splice into spot 1 or spot 2?

or should I be doing something else like switching the line on the stock shutoff from the membrane to DI to after the DI like the coralife shutoff wants?

please please please

I want to install this thing! without their shutoff at all, the waste water keeps going even when float stops flow.
