Hello all,

I'm planning to buy a
36" 6x39W Tek Light T5 High-Output Fixture w/ Bulbs (Black)

Anybody has it?
Does it good?
What lamps should I buy for the combination of four?

Thank you,

I have their blue LE edition(no difference really) in a 6x54w over my frag tank and it works pretty good. Check the T5 Q&A thread for bulb combos or PM and I'll tell you what I have in mine.

but it really depends on what you want to keep. you can play with the colors "the best part of t-5s" as you add corals to see what they look like. but for the most part what i listed will get you close to what you want. good luck and keep in mind its not a bad idea to buy some extra bulbs of differat colors to play with and have for back up.

I like the fixture. Since my setup is not fancy I have a clip on fan to keep it nice and cool, since I dont have a chiller it also keeps the tank cool.

I recommend getting the acrylic shield because my HOB skimmer creates a huge amount of salt spray. Without the HOB I would not be too worried about not having the shield.

I have mine over a 55g, I keep sps and all other corals just fine.

I use:

blue+
superactinic
aquasun
bluespecial

I would recommend adding two blue+ or bluespecial, I cant remember which one is more blue.
