my nitrates stay at 30 cant get them down all other tests ok tank died and tring to reset back up but new to all this.

We need information. It's easier if you will describe your system, what's in the tank, how long it's been set up. Post the water parameters that you test for.

30 ppm nitrate won't kill your tank. Must be something else.

How old was the tank? the tank is a few years old it set for 3 years due to bad water where i live. i put in a ro system 3 stage. tank has been online for about 3 months just added spyro bactro a week ago.

Post the water parameters that you test for. the tank has only live rock.10 turbo snails 10 crabs.tank has been back on line for a few weeks and i put spyro bacto in a week ago.check ph 8.2 ammonia non detc. nitrite non. and nitrate at 30 even after a 12.5 gallon water change.thankyou for any help
