i use a octopus nw200 on my 90 and i love it. i seem to have to empty the cup once a week. I am skimming rather wet and also have a light bio load.

I have the NW150 on my 75g as well. Works great! Keep in mind it took about a month to break in after that it is awesome!

I have a octopus nw200 and have been very disappointed hardly get anything out of it and today I think I found out why. Took it apart today to see what would be involved in some sort of mesh mod. The photo shows what I pulled out.

Sure looks like a paddle to me. This is from my order history [1 x Octopus Recirc Needlewheel 200]

It was about eight months ago so I'm not going to try and deal with having them fix it, just ordered a replacement Needlewheel to replace the paddle.

If you get one take it apart and check to make sure you get what you pay for.

I hope this will make me happy with the skimmer and get the gunk out of the tank.

I'm setting up a new 75gallon and I will be using a NW150 in my sump. I hear excellent things about them... especially at their price.

Several mods make them even better and more efficient. Mods can be found on this site.

I've been using a NW150 for several months and love it. Easy to clean, filters well, very quiet.

I have the dnw-150 on my 90, and recommend it if your on a budget. There are much better skimmers out there, but for the price they are nice.

I have a NW150 on a 55gal and im thinking about upgrading to a 90gal.

Will the NW150 work well on a 90g? or would a NW200 make a huge difference?

I have a NW150 that served me very well and recently upgraded to one of the MSX skimmers. I don't know if the money was really worth it and the MSX is more finicky, though it's certainly a little more efficient. For a simple to use, reasonably priced skimmer that works well the Octopus skimmers are great.

If you mesh mod it it will easily handle a 90.
