Hello All,

I have an ASM G1 protein skimmer, and i've been having a slight issue with microbubbles in the tank, i was advised by a LFS to put that spongy material around the pump in the sump to try and prevent the bubbles, i did that and it helps a lil but there's still ab it of bubbles, im going to have someone do a home visit to see if they can identify why it happens...

question is this, ive been given several different thoughts on how far up the water/bubbles should be in my protein skimmer. one person said it should be level with the BOTTOM of the collector cup, someone else said a bit higher, i think the adjustable pipe was too low as the junk/green stuff was collecting underneath the collection cup in the curved up cone part.. so i cleaned that out and then pulled the tube with the sponge around it up...right now the bubbles are swirling right about level with the BOTTOM of the collector cup, is that right? or should it be a bit higher?

any advice is appreciated. thanks
