OK, I have another feeding question. I target feed and add PhytoFeast and copepods to the water. The filtration is an overflow system. Is it important to turn the tank off for feeding?
Or does the little bit that goes into the filter really not matter.

What is your experience?

Generally you turn off the return pump or filter when you feed so that the food isn't wasted in the sump/skimmer/filter. Some people shut off their powerheads as well but we leave them on.

I'm not sure what you mean by your filtration being an overflow system. Are you talking about the overflow bringing water from your tank down to your sump? If that's all you're talking about, I wouldn't worry about that. I would, however, turn off any protein skimmers, canister filters or any other form of mechanical filtration. I've never used Phyto Feast personally, but I have used DT's phytoplankton as well as home cultured phytoplankton. Just follow the dosing directions, and then give it a few hours to cycle through your system before turning your filters back on.

I would shut the pump off to feed.
