I just brought some Green Button and Star Polyps home the other day. The Star as you can see off to the right is not shy at all. I am, however, concerned about some of the Green Buttons.

I drew arrows to a few that don't seem to want to 'wake up'.

I have a PC 240watt.

Any ideas?

I assume you didn't QT them. Did you atleast dip them before adding them to the tank. I dip every single thing i put into my tank. But you might just need to wait awhile if you touched them they might stay closed for a few days. Don't worry though i had zoos that were so dead they would flake off when you touched them with a dropper. a month later they were good as new!

Not sure what QT is. I did acclimate them in a bucket for about 30 - 45 min. I was just at a pet store today. The owner has been in the biz for 30 years. He told me they are fine. They'll open up when they want to.

Thanks for the input.

They should be fine. Give them a day or two to adjust. If there are other corals coming in contact with them it could cause them to close.
Are the start polyps touching them?

Actually, the star was touching them. I moved them away from the star completely.

Thanks.

RevHtree - what is that in your avatar?

Is it yours?

If so, what kind of bulb are you using to obtain that kind of pink coloring?
