I have finally got my RO/DI system installed this evening. Please let me know if what I discribe is normal. I have an Ocean Reef +1 5 stage at 75 GPD.
Here is what I've observed thus far:
The pressure gauge reads 40 psi after the third stage
the TDS IN reads 14 - TDS OUT reads 0 at the DI unit.
It would appear that the current rate of about 1 gal of RO/DI to maybe about 4 gal of waste water.

Does this all sound normal for just installed and should I expect a better ratio of RO/DI to waste as time goes on.

Thanks

that sounds right. however your psi seems low, usually they run best at around 60psi.

Are you truly saying that it should be 60 PSI after the third stage or prior to the 1st stage input?

Thanks

I'm running my 90 gpd w/40 psi. Seems to be working. TDS Reading from filter is "0". If you don't have a TDS meter. They can be had for about $30.00 from Marine Depot.
