I honestly never feed my anemones, and thus I never see them expelling waste. I used to feed them years ago, and learned that you don't want to feed food larger than a lima bean. If you see waste coming out, you've overfed the animal.

Here are a bunch of RBTAs that all grew from one in my tank since last July. I sold all of them but one, as they were taking up too much space and stinging all my corals. I never added any food to those anemones in 12 months, but I did feed fishfood to the tank for the fish to eat. They caught specks of food, and grew, and split. Repeatedly.

Marc, I can't believe you dont feed your nems, they're just so stunning. In the 280 and the Nano. I thought they was on steroids or something. Perhaps the clowns are feeding them with something?

I've had this guy for about 2 months now. Was about 6" when I got it, now already 10". I feed it a small piece of raw shrimp 2 times per week. I'm sure this is why it's growing so fast. It also has a pink skunk that feeds it pieces of the fish food. I have seen it excrete waste once but my camera battery was dead.http://

The largest food I feed is mini-mysis. The anemones are obviously 'inhaling' something, but it isn't provided by the clowns since there's nothing large enough to grab in their mouths to take back.

Great pictures everyone.

You know I have been thinking about that for my green Haddoni, since my pink skunks stay in the blue one. Just might have to get one ( or two. )

I wanted one for a long time, but thought for sure my WSM would make toast of it.
Then I saw someone else w/ a maroon w/ one, and got brave enough to go for it.
Totally cool frome day one, so glad I got it.

Dave how does that monster seabae go on with it being so close to the xeinia, do they fight?

The zenia showed slight signs of stress at very beginning, but then seemed unphased.
My zenia was growing so fast I didn't really worry about it, it's about the only coral that seems to tolerate nem stings, any other coral couldn't handle it.
Since that pick I've culled zenia way back to just a small piece so I could make room for other corals.
