I see you have a couple good looking lobos as well. And is that a bubble coral all the way on the right?

Below is a photo collage of the progress of my nano tank for the past 7 months.

Thanks for your kind words.

The only change is the stock pump which broke down after 2 months. The shaft got rusty. I change to one with similar flowrate.

Everything else is original. I did not even add a chiller. I do not want to spoil the compact look of the cube and and incur extra electical bill. However, this pose a problem to me during hot weather. I was forced to add a fan which means that I have to top up about 1 litre of water everyday for evaporation loss.

It also means that I cannot add too many high wattage equipment into the tank.

No skimmer means that I have to do 10% water change every week. Nitrate is always constant at 10 ppm.

So it was a trade off between looks, electrical bills, convenience and the limitation on the types of LS.

I think this make this hobby more challenging and fun:D

Time files...almost 1.5 year since I have my first post.

During this time, I went overseas for 6 months and left the tank under my wife's care. Unfortunately, most of my corals did not survive my absence.

Recently, I decided to re-start my tank again.
I still have the same goal of trying to use the simplest/basic equipment to create a marine aquarium that I like.

What do you think compared to my previous scaping?
Any comments are welcomed.

I like it fine but I really liked the open middle 'cave' area of your first setup. Once again though that's just personal preference and this one is awesome as well!

It has been a long time since my last update.

I believe I stock up corals too quickly and did not monitor my tank's pH.
The pH dropped to 7.8 and resulted in few of my corals going up the lorry

I have since adjusted back the pH to 8.2 and added some new corals.
Below were my recent FTS.
