skimmer pump

I have a Coralife Super Skimmer with a Rio pump on it that is going out. I can't remember the size of the pump but I'm wondering if it would be best to replace the pump with the same kind, a different brand or is this a really crappy skimmer and I should just get a whole knew one?

My tank is a 65g with a 29 gallon sump. I have a high bio load and no algae problems and I'd like to keep it this way.

Also, are Rio pumps the ones that most people recomend for wave timers?

i would swap to a Maxi-Jet 1200. they are quiet and very dependable.
