I got this 8 inch "show size" complete maze brain for 49 bucks. Is that not a great deal? Here's a pic. It isn't very good. The colors on the coral are off, the coral is much more vibrant colored. I've never seen a complete maze brain that is perfectly round with even human looking lobes. The colors are really nice too.

I'll try to get a better pic and a pic of him under just the blue leds.:D
What do you guys usually see something like this for?

Wow! Awsome coral. My friend has a maze brain but it's not nearly that size.

I saw a fist sized one at a LFS for $59

How big? 49 bucks was a great deal on that Platygyra. Nice one, I have a small one with those colors. It cost 59.99 before tax. Not as nice.

I paid $60 for mine. Its about the size of a baseball.

Sounds like I got quite a deal. It is 8 inches long. What I like about this guy is he is human brain size and a great brain shape, it an elongated oval with lobe-looking things. The owner said when I bought it he could of easily sold this for 4 times the cost he was selling it for, I thought he was just shmoozing though.

Are those attached to a rock? I am trying to figure out if mine should be and was told that they only get the brain look if they are not attached to rock. BTW, those both look great!

I've seen similar coral for over $100. I'd say you got a great deal. Maybe an uninformed employee?
