I have a stocked SPS tank and a single Perc that I want to remove in preparation for adding a pair of Onyx Percs.

I thought it'd be much easier than it is, but so far no luck catching him. I've been trying to use a net. Is there a more efficient way, or more specifically, a way to catch the fish with better odds?

Thanks.

I have always used the bag with the fishing line woven around the opening of the bag, with food inside. When the fish enters the bag, a quick tug on the fishing line closes the bag. Very little stress to the fish and you. I'm always moving clowns from tank to tank and this method has never failed me, yet.

Use a clear container and lure him into it while your lights are off. This have always worked well with me. Make sure the container is clear.

Do you have anemone in the tank?

If not where does it sleep? Could try it during late night, since they are half asleep at that time.
