How would you supply a refugium from a dual overflow system. Water moves too fast supplying from one of the drains.

You can dispurse the flow by either putting a t on the down line and sending some of the water past the fuge into your next baffle. Or you can make the down lines opening into the fuge bigger and drill many holes so water displaces through all the holes and not in a strong force. I dont know if im explaining myself clear enough, but hopefullly you get the idea.

you could also slow your return pump down.

You can put a ball valve on the line before the fuge

I have 1 1/4 drains, one to skimmer area, other to refugium. I had a one inch spray bar in fuge with 1/4 inch holes, about a dozen, too noisey, constantly bubbles. Took that out, flow is too fast for a refugium. The 1 1/4 drain tubes is clear and does not look to be full of water so the water in there has gravity to help out with accel flow.

I just fed one of my two drains to the ref and with that one still only a portion of flow, controlled by the valve on the downward leg (the valve on the horizontal is to isolate).

Just use a ball valve and some creative plumbing
