Please help me catch this mantis shrimp!!

I am a begginer with a 75 gallon marine tank. I only have about 40lbs of live rock so far. Lately a few fish have been found cut in half in the tank. I don't have any aggressive fish so I don't know what could be the problem. Someone with experience please give me step by step instructions on catching a mantis shrimp.

Is your water quality good? what kinds of fish died? How long did you have them?

It might not be a mantis. Have you heard clicking noise?
Do you have hemnit crabs? If you do they probably ate it.
Or some other stowaway crab.

If it is a mantis then find the rock he lives in and remove it.
Or set a trap for it.

They make great pets if you get them.


Mantis don't cut fish in half unless they are hudge.
