Anyone else pick these up from Elite Reefs?

Mine opened up right away but they are pretty bland looking. I'm hoping they darken quick.

The Eagle Eyes and Green Goblins look great though.


So how's everyone else's look?

What are these black hole sun zoas of which you speak?
They sound cool looking. Can you describe them?
How many polyps do you have?
Have you grown zoas before?

i got some of those too and i agree they are very bland. I love the green goblins though. Really nice. i didnt really want the eagle eyes because i already have a couple but as it turns out the ones i got from him have white mouths which is different from the other ones i've got. pretty cool!

lily: hes talking about a specific dealer, elitereefs. The way it works is you give them your email and periodically, as they become available, they offer frags at good prices. many times the frags arent so great IME, but its still a good value at $10 per frag plus $21 flat shipping. I enjoy many of the frags i got from this guy but many of them got lost in my tank because they were really really tiny. You have to act quickly, usually all the frags are spoken for within a day of the mass email going out. anyways, the last email that went out was selling 'green goblins' 'eagle eyes' and 'black hole suns'

The frags I get are usually 20-25 polyps at least so that I can't complain about.

@ $10/Frag its a decent deal.

The Black Hole Suns are "meh" to say the least. Mine aren't dark at all like the picture states.

This is the first disappointment in 3-4 orders with these guys though so I'm not all that angry lol.

i should post pics of the actual frags i got when i get home.

i really like the way this guy packs and ships too. You can see why he can offer shipping so cheap. Its not sacrifice either, hes just smart about the service and materiels he uses for these small frags. I like the job he does and i'd consider myself and expert on shipping in general (not of corals but of pleny of other stuff).

Kieth's been pretty cool. He packs them well. If you have some die off, he gave me credit for the next order. I will be ordering from him in the future once my cube is settled in.

I have about 20 of those and they are on of my fav's sure. Might have to buy some more if that is the case.

Yessir $10 and I got about 20 polyps of that color morph. The frags are always $10/each + flat rate $21 shipping.


Goodluck ordering them now lol, they are probably long sold out. I got one of the last packs he had left and I ordered on last Sunday. The email flier was only sent out that Friday lol.

$10 per frag plus 21 for shipping is his normal pricing. That ad was a special package deal 3 frags for $51 shipped. i'm guessing he wanted to get rid of his EEs and those black hole suns which are really more like bland fire and ice without the ice. the middle wasnt black at all, more like grey, and the skirts were orange instead of red. It doesnt bother me though, outside of the selling forum here i expect shopped photos everywhere. I got something from divers den at liveaquaria once...... never again... at the price i paid i expected to get what i saw. What i got wasn't even close. For a $10 frag its more like plaing quick draw, i dont mind getting a bit duped when the other ones you get are like the green goblins he advertised :)

Wow, look at those! Black Hole Suns. Those are wicked looking. I've never seen black centers, and the orange is fierce.

mine looked like that flyyyguy, or really close anyway. the black hole suns had another type mixed in but didnt look like th epic in the flyer. so far ive ordered twice both times to get something specific(poseidans fury, green gobblins) and have been happy with them. on the others its a crap shoot on what they will look like.

Mine look fine... the skirts are not as bright orange, more red right now but they look good.

And I did notice over the weekend that there's something else mixed in on my Black Hole Suns. I had like 2-3 Polyps that were pretty black, still not close to the picture though.

I usually order specifically for 1 of the colors listed as well.

Some of the good ones to look out for are the Ocean's Desire, Goblin Fire, Eye of Rah. Those all looked really good once they got in my tank.
