frozen fish bait safe?

is the frozen squid or shrimp you can buy at walmart in the fishing section safe or unsafe? its whole squid and shrimp

its safe but the roblem is that its not very clean cosidering the fact that squid is very bloody and contains a lot of guts and ink it would probrabliy give you a no2 spike unless u clean a rinse it. the best way would prob be to gut it and only feed the fleshy parts imo

thats what i was going to do. cut the top off, gut it, cut off tentacles, throw away the rest, and wash it.

I would not use that. Go to your local supermarket and buy un cooked sea food, its pretty cheap. I use mostly shrimp.

Agreed - you can find something food-quality at a local asian grocery.
