I have recently moved from a small 22 gallon tank to a 70 I had lots of live rock and live sand that was transferred. I added about 50 more pound of live rock and 40 lbs of live sand. My lights were upgraded from power compacts to metal halide. My water quality seems to be perfect but all of my super easy corals are dying. ie: mushrooms, leathers, some of my xenia, etc. Other things like my ricordea, frog spawn, hammer are not extended fully but seem to be fine. The fish are also doing great. The only thing that I can conclude is that the leathers do not like the light. Any ideas....suggestions??

What are your water parameters? Something must be less than perfect in order for this die-off to occur. Did you acclimate your corals to the halides? What is the wattage?
Leathers will thrive under bright light and reward you with fast growth... if they are acclimated.
Did you add new live rock from an LFS? I'd be surprised if you didnt have some sort of cycle, how are you testing the water?

Yes I added new live rock. I also added a bacteria packet to help with the cycling. I transferred this tank on July 3rd. My water parameters are good. Amonia and Nitrite are 0 Nitrates are just under 20 PH is around 8.3-8.4 My salinity is around 1.024 I seem to be getting alot of air bubbles from my refugium that may be causing some of the clarity issues. I am continuing to ad stability on a daily basis and taking my water to various aquarium shops for testing.
