Best Way to Transfer Tanks

I am currently in the process of switching from a 40 gallon to a 75 gallon.

I am going to switch over the live rock from the current tank along with as much water as possible. Same skimmer and sump will be used.

I will likely add in some dry rock as well.

Can I make the change over in the same day? Or will moving the fish, etc... cause a problem?

i switched my 75g over to my 150g the same day with no problems

I would assume, no. But I figure I better check

Make sure to cure the Dry rock before putting it in the tank. It can damage corals etc. if it's not cured. Even if it's dry, still needs to be cured. =) HTH
