baking soda & calcium chloride

I'm using baking soda to maintain KH and ESV calcium chloride to maintain CA. Is this a ok combination to use?

It is a fine source for both. You may want to bake the baking soda before you mix it with water.

I am doing a smiliar thing, baking soda and Reef Advantage Calcium. My sps's love them.
