Hello.
does anybody use Boyu wavemaker ? I'm tempted to buy one as the price is quite small, even compared with Resun 15000 wave maker witch has only one pump. Boyu comes in 4 types: WM-1 ... WM-4.

WM-3 has 4 pumps and it seems that is a AC type.
WM-4 has only 2 pumps and it is DC type.

The AC model does not have the ability to change the motor speed, but I'm wondering if multiple on/off cycles will broke the impeller or will make alto more noise than the DC version (WM-4).

Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/Boyu-WM-3-WaveMaker-4-Pump-Effect-Wave-in-your-tank_W0QQitemZ310070777093QQihZ021QQcategoryZ46312QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

Thanks.

Never heard of them and I am not sure I would trust it. What are you going do do if it doesnt work? Ship it back to Hong Kong? I think I would pass and get something known to be reliable.

I have 2 powerheads from boyu (for GAC) and are working fine for an year. So the quality is not so low, the only problem is that they do not have ceramic ax. For that price I think that it worth a try.

I was wondering if there is a difference between the AC and DC model, other than the AC model does not support motor speed adjustment.

Coming from Asia, I would make sure
that the AC voltage is not 220V

I live in europe, so 220V it's fine for me :)

Trust me, they are just a toy. I tried them and made a report before. (But not in English)

Very Gentle Flow!! For MAX Speed, they just give out 200-400L/hr.

i find that hard to believe when they say the pumps are good for 5000L each. even if they over rate them its not gunna lose 4600L of flow
