I just bought a pump, Poseidon PS4 (aka: Velocity T4). The PS 1, 2, and 3, say they have a 3/4" Male NPT inlet/outlet, but the PS4 has a 1" Hosebarb.

My question is, how do I connect this 1" Hosebarb to my 3/4" PVC?

Thanks for any help!

i would get some vinyl tubing that fits, and whatever combination of pvc reducers you nee to get it to the right size. I just stand in the pvc eisle at HD till the right stuff jumps out at me.

Except for the small ridge at the ends, it looks to be 3/4" inlet/outlet. I'm wondering if I can't just sand down the ridge and glue the outlet directly into my 3/4" true-union check-value.

Would that be bad idea?

might work..... but I'd just do what billdogg said, get a soft tube and put it over that, then attach hard pvd to the other end of the soft tube.

1" double braided pvc/vinyl tubing and a hose clamp connected to the pump output.

1" plastic hose barb x 3/4"mpt and a hose clamp to make the connection from the tubing to the pvc fitting.

3/4" fpt x 3/4" slip fitting to complete the connection from the barb to the pvc pipe. Be sure and use PVC primer and cement to make the final connection for the slip fitting. Use a few wraps of teflon tape on the threaded fittings.
