JARC annual picnic!

The JARC picnic will be held on Saturday, August 16th at the Sheridan Pavillion in McKinley Woods, Channahon, IL. Details are still being worked out but we have reserved a Sea World moonwalk for the kids.
Alcohol is also allowed there. We will be supplying the main course and ask that each family bring a dish to pass. We will have an area to post what you will bring soon so we don't end up with 15 potato salads There will be games for the kids, prizes, tropical fish tattoos, horseshoes, raffles, door prizes and lots of other fun. More details coming soon but I wanted to make sure everyone marked their calendars so they won't miss out on this special JARC event.

We hope to see many people there! From JARC and surrounding clubs! All are welcome! We will be having a reef garage sale, kid activities, food, fun, and a nice raffle! Come hang out with your fellow reefers. More details will be posted in the coming days. Thank you!

Sorry guys I have been super busy! So here is the information on the August picnic.

When? August 16th, 2008 12pm-4pm
Where? McKinley Park Minooka, IL (I will post a map tomorrow)
Activities? Moon jump and kids games, raffles held every hour, food, and fun!
What can I bring? Bring a dish to pass around or a refreshment. And bring your family! It would also be great if people brought some ice along to keep thing cool.

Information on Reef Garage Sale I know a lot us have random stuff laying around. Why not make a little frag money??? Sell your items at the picnic!
Rules: Clearly price your items. Try to stay at your table, or check back often. Please check your equipment before you bring it, if it is broken make sure you tell people that. If you step away leave a little note saying who you are and that they can come find you.

Coming from I-55 exit Rt. 6 Go twards Channahon (Coming from I-55 South go left I-55 North go right.) Pass main Channahon area go past the subway over the bridge after you come up a small hill take the left which is McKinley Woods Rd. (If you miss it... turn around if you hit Ridge Road or Jewel you have gone too far) Then take you immediate left (and I mean immediate) West Bridge Street. Then make a right on Blackberry Lane take it all the way down... the road will end to a dirt road (The sign says go straight for the McKinley Park DO NOT GO STRAIGHT! GO LEFT!) You'll see the pavilion on your left.

Coming from Morris/Mazon area:
Take Rt. 6 towards Minooka, go past Jewel, Walgreens, and the new McDonalds. After you pass that start looking on your right for the sign for McKinley Wood Road on the Right. Make the right, Make the immediate left and follow the above directions to get to the pavilion.

I will be there at 10:30-11:00 am so if you get lost call my cell. If you do not have it pm me and I'll give you the number.
