Yep. I know for a fact they cant be armageddons, I mean the original. Theyre almost identical in polyp coloration and all that, except Ive yet to see an armageddon with the size stalk mine has. Plus these are top of the tank under 150 watt MH. So its not like its starved for light.

The stalk is just an indicator of poor lighting or use to be under poor lighting. It takes some time for them to shorten down.

As for the name....

Armageddon look-alikes
Zoa w/people eater mouth

True GPE's are totally different looking

i think stalk size has to do with other factors besides lighting such as water quality and water movement. Many zoas also vary in stalk size greatly and i've seen stalk sizes get much larger right in my tank. This is usually followed by the polyps becoming unhealthy, pinching at the top. had taken the phosphate raector off my tank for 2 months and a whole bunch of my polyps are doing this now. Yesterday i put it back on, we'll see if things change.

Yea I know what you mean by the pinching. Some of the polyps on the people eaters werent in good shape and doing this. I expect them to pass soon.

And z's_N_p's I sent you a PM

Hmm ok. When I got them a while back they had the same length stalk they do now, so they could just be super light hungry, yet my MHs are on for 8 hrs a day, and theyre in the highest point in the tank.

#1 They are pretty what ever they are to bad you to far away to trade.

#2 Thick lip Paly's or Green People Eaters depending on how glamorous you want them to sound. The higher the light the greener they become. these ones are under 150 watt 10k's MH about 10 from the bottom of my 90 gallon.

Don't let them over grow their frag plug cause they are tough as hell I have a hard time getting a razor through the mat on them
