I have a 14g tank and my sand seems to be persistantly dirty. I have 5-6 nassarius snails and a serpent star. Would adding some sort of goby clean up my sand well and still do ok afterwords? What would be one of the best gobys to try. I can move fish out of the tank so space isn't a problem.

Well, i have a bullet goby and he keeps the sand very clean. I would suggest one of them, i had very dirty sand in my 300, and now, it's as clean as ever

I have had a detritus build up under my sandbed and have moved my corals / fish while im trying to clean this up. Would the goby help in anyway? It seems my nassarius snails do very little.

Is this the bullet goby you are talking about? You have only one?

That is the goby we have. It's sold around here as a dragon goby.

He constantly sifts the sand looking for critters. He also eats anything I feed the tank.

The only down side is he can bury things. He tends to scoop up sand and then rise about 4" and sift it over low laying corals. It can be a nuisance, but it's not a big deal for us.

The sand is always bright white...he does a great job.
