I'm currently planning out a 180 gallon upgrade from my 55. I still haven't figured out the sump and such, but I'm looking for feed back on water flow in the tank.
On my 55, I have a mag 9.5 as the return. I'm thinking that this is probably on the low side of flow for a tank ~3x the size of my 55.
I'm asuming that most of the Ehiem pumps are too small too...
I would like to incorporate an ocean motions 4 way in the 180 powered by the return pump. I've seen OM used in conjunction with Reeflo Darts. I don't really have any intentions of doing a closed loop, so this would be the major source of flow in the tank.
Any thoughts or links to other threads to compare setups would be apprecated.
