This is my tank before I went barebottom. I had 175w w/ 15k iwaski's on e-ballasts. Got good color and great growth. (before a little accident of mine..lol)
at nightime..room nice and dark
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t304/hpmavfan/Moooretankpics008.jpg

The color and brightness of the lights are a bit faded from the sunlight outside.

I have added 2x110w super actinics since then for a bluer look, and night and day effects.

nice tank but i have a question....
is the tank posing as a room divider? it looks to be separating a room and you have to look at the other side by coming in the door on the far side.... just curious... :)

yeah, it makes it hard to photograph. I obviously have a cover for the lights which makes it a lot easier, but I figured you'd like to see the mounting. The lumenbrite mini reflectors are awesome!:D

Here's an older shot, 6 foot long tank, 14000k hamilitons 250w x 2, center has no light on it but that's where I keep my LPS so no big deal, right side has lumenarc mini, left side has home made lumenarc, you can see the light spread via the coraline on the back acrylic very well though :D Picture looks way over saturated though, probably focused on the central part as being the proper light though.

Not particularly happy with just metal halides, however the tank is only 18 inches wide and with these reflectors it's impossible to squeeze in any even a single T5 light as supplimental lighting.

Oh yeah the picture is a bit wide, so I'm sorry I screwed up the width of the page :D

Here is a pic of a little frag system I've been running for a while now. Its a 50 breeder with one 250w DE MH, Phoenix 14K bulb. i think its great color, but I do like a bit more blue than this bulb provides alone.

2x250w 10k Reeflux on Luminarc Minis. Left side is lit by Coralvue e-ballast and right side is lit by new style IceCap 250w e-ballast.

<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/EricDKlein/Tank2008/photo#5220294077269373522"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/EricDKlein/SHI1zhK3clI/AAAAAAAAAhM/stoS_sTvnIY/s800/DSC_0007.JPG" /></a>

I've cleaned the tank up a bit since that picture. Less kenya trees and more nice corals.
