external wavebox?

i read something on here about setting up a external wavebox can someone point me in the right dirrection or explain how this would be set up i am currently trying to design a 300gall tank and would love to add these to the set up if they can be hidden.

Are you referring to a Surge Device (http://www.breedersregistry.org/Reprints/MFM/v11_aug96/simple_surge.htm)?

In the DIY forum you'll find the thread on the wavebox. For an external you'll want to put the box on the outside, cut a big hole for the pump and maybe an overflow for a nice wave. If your tank is not built yet than a false side panel maybe the way to go. These are a lot of fun. Use the Tunze 6301.

Here is my external wavebox. 2 dual wavebox on 480g peninsular style tank. the box dimension is 12lx6wx13tall each box house 2 tunze wavebox pump, all pumps controlled is the 6091 and Y adapter.
