Using higher rated pumps on skimmers?

Or would that be too much water flow?

Doubtful, at least with the seaclone you'll probably get too much water and not enough air

Too much oddly enough. That pump in particular can get ALOT of air.

I would suggest modding an Aquaclear 70 powerhead.

At the moment its not that bad but I do see it as an entry level skimmer.

What should I get on my next upgrade?
It has to be a hang on top as I have no room anywhere else for a skimmer.
